About Caryn Lieberman

Caryn Lieberman is a breaking news junkie who thrives in a fast-paced LIVE environment, making her the best choice to host "Right Now" on Sun News Network. She has a highly attuned "nose for news" and can converse on subjects ranging from Parliament Hill to the White House, and anything else that is making news now. Prior to launching "Right Now," Caryn anchored every Saturday and Sunday on Sun News Network, providing non-stop LIVE coverage of events -- including the death of Osama Bin Laden -- because news doesn't take weekends off. Before joining the Sun team, Caryn broke the news every night on a 24 hour CTV News affiliate in Toronto, also producing multiple award-winning 1 hour specials on hot button topics such as, bullying awareness. Caryn also spent a year with CTV National, during which time she won the L.A. Press Club Award for best hard news coverage of the 2008 California Wildfires. Her career began in her home province of Quebec, reporting locally in Montreal and Quebec City for Global News, and filing for Global National. As well, Caryn hosted a weekly news and culture show, which aired across Quebec on Global TV. She also covered the Canadian military extensively from CFB Valcartier, even traveling with the Royal 22nd Regiment to Fort Bliss, Texas to cover their training for Afghanistan. Caryn continues to provide regular coverage of our men and women in uniform, with special attention every year on Remembrance Day.
