On Tuesday, the Manitoba Liquor Control Commission (MLCC) voluntarily recalled the Woody's Sasparilla and suspended the sale of all the maker's other booze products after reports of glass fragments. Alberta followed suit on Wednesday, and Nova Scotia recalled the coolers on Friday.
"Woody's Sasparilla Vodka Cooler will not return to store shelves until the NSLC (Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation) is confident the issue has been resolved," a release said. Woody's Sasparilla is sold in packs of four 330 ml bottles.
In November, 10 Woody's products were recalled because the vodka coolers were believed to contain glass fragments. At the time, the MLCC said one person was injured drinking a Woody's Mexican Lime vodka cooler.
