Three from Quebec killed in Pennsylvania car crash

Three people from Quebec are dead following a crash early Saturday on Interstate 81 in Pennsylvania.

Mamon Simard, 57, Danielle Joncas, 54, and Joncas' 17-year-old daughter, who was not identified, died when the driver fell asleep at the wheel around 2:15 a.m.
Saturday, the Reading Eagle newspaper reported.

Police told the newspaper the vehicle veered off the highway and launched over an embankment before crashing into a concrete bridge.

The driver, Simard's 52-year-old husband Jocelyn Caron, and Joncas' husband Paul le-Roy-Audy, sustained minor injuries.

Police said the two who survived the crash were wearing seatbelts, but the three who died were not.
