B.C. man charged for alleged sexual offence against second teen

QMI AGENCY

A B.C. man previously convicted of a sex offence against a 15-year-old girl was arrested and charged with a similar offence Friday, police say.

Ridge Meadows RCMP’s Serious Crimes Unit said it arrested 24-year-old Russell Thomas Lamb "on multiple charges related to sexual offences against a young person."

They allege Lamb’s offences involve a teenaged girl in Maple Ridge, B.C.

Insp. David Fleugel, a spokesman with the RCMP, said, "What is particularly alarming in the case is the fact Mr. Lamb is currently on a probation order from Squamish, B.C. after being convicted of a sex offence against a 15-year-old female victim in that community. Our investigation involves a teenaged female

Lamb met, and befriended, while in our community. This was not a random stranger attack."

Lamb was in court Friday and makes his next appearance Monday.
