Ontario teen boy accused of sexually assaulting six-year-old stepbrother

PETERBOROUGH, ON — Police have charged a 15-year-old boy on allegations he sexually assaulted his six-year-old stepbrother last winter.

Police began investigating last week when the alleged victim reported being sexually assaulted by his stepbrother in December, investigators said.

On Tuesday, the teen was arrested and charged with sexual assault and sexual interference with a person under 16 years of age. He was held in custody, appeared in court and will appear again Oct. 1.

The boy cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
