Saskatchewan police are on the hunt for a Calgary man who is on the run with his dog.
Just after arriving at the scene of an accident on Hwy. 7 Saturday afternoon, police say they discovered that "the driver of one of the involved vehicles, a 34-year-old male identified as Michael David, stole a passerby's vehicle and fled the scene with his dog."
While investigating the accident, the police found out that car David was driving was stolen from Calgary and contained an unsecured firearm.
A warrant has been issued for David's arrest, and police are asking the public not to approach David and to contact them mmediately if he is spotted since he is considered to be armed and dangerous.
David was last known to be driving a 2007 white Dodge truck with his dog, east on Hwy. 16. David is described as 5'9", 160 lbs and is wearing a jean jacket and a dark hat.
Police say they suspect David may be trying to cross national or provincial borders.
