CALGARY -- Two days after he went missing in the Pine Coulee Reservoir near Stavely, Alta., a Calgary man has been found dead.

He was one of two men in the boat Saturday afternoon, fishing along the reservoir, about 116 km south of Calgary, when the boat tipped over, dumping both men in the water. One made it to shore, the other never did.

At about 2 p.m. Monday, the Lethbridge, Alta., dive team and fire crews from Brooks, Alta., and Stavely pulled him from the water.

Police say it was high winds and large waves that capsized them.

"They were in a smaller boat -- about a 14-foot aluminium boat," Claresholm RCMP Const. Rob Olive said.

The name of the deceased isn't being released by police at this time at the request of family , but RCMP spokeswoman Doris Stapleton has said both he and the survivor are from Calgary.

When the one man did make it shore the water had taken its toll.

"He was suffering from hypothermia, and from shock," Olive said.
