Ontario man wearing hockey mask stabs Boxing Day shopper

LONDON, ON -- A knife-wielding man wearing a hockey mask stabbed another man who was sitting in a downtown mall on Boxing Day.

Police say the 56-year-old victim was at Citi Plaza when the masked slasher attacked him about 5:50 p.m.

He suffered cuts to his head and was taken to hospital.

Police allege drugs may have been a factor in the attack.

Jon-Erik Westine, 27, of London, is charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon, having a disguise, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a controlled substance.
