MONTREAL — The RCMP has arrested a man in the 2010 bombing of Canadian Forces recruitment centre east of Montreal.

The Mounties picked up the suspect north of Montreal on Tuesday but had not charged him as of Wednesday.

"He was questioned and released," Cpl. Luc Thibault told QMI Agency.

"Charges could be laid against him. It's still under investigation, so we could have other searches and other arrests coming."

The Mounties also searched the student union office at Lionel-Groulx college in Sainte-Therese, Que., north of Montreal, as well as two other Quebec locations.

An organization called the International Resistance Initiative claimed responsibility for the bomb attack in February 2010.

The glass doors of the centre were blown apart by an explosion powerful enough to startle neighbours. No one was injured.

The same group claimed responsibility for two other attacks -- a Hydro-Quebec tower was vandalized in December 2004 and a bomb damaged a vehicle belonging to a spokesman for the Canadian Petroleum Products Institute.
