LONDON, ON - The campaign to save a London, ON, shelter for pregnant teens and their babies was given another enormous shot in the arm Friday morning when Justin Bieber's mother used the promotion of his new song, Turn to You, to draw attention to the campaign close her heart.

The song is a tribute to Bieber's mother, Pattie Mallette, who was an unwed teen pregnant with the hit-maker when she found the help she needed at the Bethesda Centre.

Almost as soon as the song dropped, Mallette included the hashtag #Bethesda and the campaign's website link in tweets to her more than 1,000,000 followers.

It's not her first public mention of the campaign to raise $1.5 million by the end of the month to keep the doors open.

"I think it's going to be a big help, especially her connecting Justin's song to Save Bethesda," said Save Bethesda Group spokesperson Sarah Brooks. "It's going to give us a big push forward."

Bieber tweeted Monday: "Think I'm gonna release #Turn- ToYOU for my mom this Friday for Mother's Day weekend. The proceeds will go to help other single moms."

While there have been rumours that a portion of the proceeds from the song will be diverted to Bethesda, that's not been confirmed to the campaign.

In February, the Salvation Army announced it was closing the 18-bed centre due to a lack of money.
