NEW YORK - The woman accused of stalking actor Alec Baldwin says she is optimistic about her court appearance, which is scheduled for Monday in New York.

"I have complete confidence in the American justice system," Genevieve Sabourin told QMI Agency on Sunday. "When the facts of the case are known, there will be no doubt that I committed no crime."

Sabourin, 40, who is from Quebec, faces five charges, including two counts of harassment in the second degree and stalking.

According to QMI Agency's American police sources, Sabourin allegedly sent Baldwin several text messages and e-mails before showing up to his home in the Hamptons in March.

Baldwin, 54, filed a complaint with police.

A few days later, Sabourin also allegedly showed up to an event Baldwin attended at the Lincoln Center in New York.
She was allegedly arrested outside the Manhattan home of the actor.

The doorman reportedly warned Baldwin that Sabourin was outside his home and the actor alerted police once again.

The two met about 10 years ago on the set of The Adventures of Pluto Nash.
