KINGSTON, ON - Mia Pruder's rainy Tuesday afternoon was made bright by gift from her pop idol.

Pruder received an autographed photograph and a brief video greeting from Justin Bieber.

"She's quite thrilled about it," said her mother Heather Pruder.

Five-year-old Mia Pruder is in Kingston General Hospital where she is being treated for muscular dystrophy and mitochondrial depletion syndrome.

She is the focus of a Facebook campaign, Biebs for Mia, aimed at getting her a meeting with Bieber.

Two weeks ago, Mia received six tickets to Bieber's Nov. 23 show in Ottawa.

Heather said she has not heard if a meeting will be possible, adding she likely won't know until she picks up the tickets.

The video features Bieber dressed in a white shirt and speaking directly into the camera.

"What's up Mia this is Justin Bieber. I just wanted say my prayers are going out to you and your family," Bieber said in the 12 second video greeting.

"You're super strong. You inspire me and thank you for being my biggest fan. I love you."

Mia has been showing the video to all the nurses who attended to her at KGH, her mother said.

"She's watched it about 500 times, to the point where I don't want to hear Justin Bieber," Heather said.

The autographed photograph has already been framed as on display in Mia Pruder's hospital room.
