One of the most commonly littered items is the coffee cup.

That's where the new edible coffee cup made of pastry and icing sugar comes in.

"Sip the coffee then eat the cup," Sardi Innovation's website says.

The "cookie cup" contains a special icing sugar that sweetens and acts as an insulator to make the cup waterproof, according to the Venezuelan designer.
