Leader Brian Mason bragged on the New Democrat's pink lining to the orange banner.
"I'm proud to lead a great team of women this election," he said.
"We're the only party near the 50/50 equal split between men and women. A vote for New Democrats is a vote for strong female voices in the legislature standing up for issues that matter to women."
With 41 female candidates -- 47% of the slate -- NDP almost doubles the closest party.
According to Equalvoice.ca, the Conservatives are running 22 women, 23% of all their candidates, while 23% of Liberal candidates are women, with 20 female candidates.
The Wildrose is running 11 female candidates -- 13% of their slate.
Mason pledged to make a minister responsible for the Status of Women, and re-instate the Women's Secretariat. He said he would develop a cross-ministry strategy to end family and intimate partner violence.
