Just minutes after Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty's resignation, our Rebecca Thompson was on the scene at Queen's Park to cover the story. Above is an exclusive interview with Ontario PC leader and Leader of the Opposition Tim Hudak, live from outside the Ontario legislature.

Hudak was not surprised to see McGuinty resign in the face of scandal, and said he respects the premier's contribution to public life. However, he was surprised to see him shut down all legislative business by proroguing the legislature.

Many are speculating that McGuinty's resignation could trigger an eventual election in the province - a potential opportunity for Hudak - after the Ontario Liberal Party has been left with an inevitable leadership race on their hands.
