East meets West on oil in Alberta

New Brunswick Premier David Alward (dark coat) meets staff while a tour of the Irving Oil refinery in Saint John, New Brunswick on Dec. 11, 2012.

New Brunswick Premier David Alward is in Alberta this week partaking in an oilsands tour, meeting with government officials and participating in the 10th Annual Canadian Oil Sands Summit.

It's hoped his visit will help a proposal for a pipeline between Alberta and eastern Canada move Alberta bitumen eastward.
