Osama bin Laden is dead.
U.S. President Barack Obama was expected to announce Sunday night that the founder of the jihadist organization al-Qaida has been killed and the U.S. has his body.
The death of the architect of the 9/11 terror attacks on the United States several other mass death attacks is seen as a major accomplishment for Obama and his national security team.
It's believed bin Laden has been holed up in Pakistan for most of the past decade since the 9/11 attack and was one of the world's 10 most wanted fugitives.
Bin Laden was born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, into a billionaire family that would eventually disown him. He was also stripped of his Saudi citizenship.
