A giant Lego man look-a-like has washed up on a Florida beach and now wants to see the sights.

The bright green, red and yellow figure was spotted by a man out walking on Siesta Key Beach, south of Sarasota, reports the Herald-Tribune. When Jeff Hindman dragged the 100-lb. fiberglass man ashore, he saw the cryptic message printed on the figure: NO REAL THAN YOU ARE.

A spokeswoman for Legoland told the paper the Lego man is a counterfeit and is not endorsed by Legoland or its parent company, Merlin Entertainments Group, and, in fact, had no idea where it came from.

The only hint to who the creator might be is a website for Ego Leonard - who might be the name of the artist who created the sculpture or might be the name of the sculpture itself - that features the same cryptic message.

When the Herald-Tribune sent an e-mail to Ego Leonard it received a reply in character: "I have been invited to stay here for 90 days, everybody is welcome to show me all the beautiful surroundings while I am here."

A gallery of paintings at the St. Art Gallery online also depicts Lego figurines attributed to Ego Leonard.
Police have the life-size figure in custody. If no one claims it in 90 days, Hindman can make a claim for it.
