It all started with a little boy swearing at a man who was taking too long in a bathroom stall, reports the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
The man then confronted the child's mother and a fight broke out. He allegedly punched the mother in the face.
As the altercation escalated, someone in the audience shouted, "Gun!" causing the moviegoers to dash for the doors.
This comes on Sunday night, a few days after a man opened fire at the audience of a Friday midnight screening of the same movie in Aurora, CO, killing 12 people and injuring 58 more.
James Eagan Holmes, 24, is the sole suspect. He appeared in court on Monday, but made no comment.
In the Pitssburgh case, police said the 51-year-old man will be charged with assault, disorderly conduct and harassment.
