More than a dozen Chinese cops spent an hour trying to recover what looked like a woman's body from a river last week, only to finally pull out an inflatable sex doll.

The Times of India reports that 18 cops were working to get the body in Wendeng in eastern China's Shandong province, a major producer of Chinese sex toys for the global market.

According to Sohu News in China, the spectacle unfolded in front of nearly a thousand onlookers on a bridge closed to traffic for the search.
