Jealous girlfriend allegedly chops off chunk of man's penis

A Vietnamese man will be able to get a piece of his penis re-attached thanks to his jealous girlfriend, who allegedly safeguarded it after she chopped it off.

The 27-year-old man, identified only as N.T.K. by the English-language Vietnamese site Tuoi Tre News, was taken to hospital after he woke up with one-third of his penis gone.

Doctors were able to stop the bleeding but transferred him to another hospital for further treatment because "his condition was complex," the site reports.

His relatives said the girlfriend had hidden the bit of flesh and they persuaded her to give it back, Tuoi Tre News reported.

Dr. Mai Tien Dung said from the look of the wound it appears the cutter used a razor blade, but said the cut-off piece had been properly maintained and could be reconnected.

The girlfriend reportedly suspected N.T.K. might be cheating on her.
