A 21-year-old Australia man will be charged after a man videotaped an extreme case of road rage, during which another driver rammed into his car seven times, forced him to drive off the road and jumped on his windshield, smashing it with his fists.

The man turned himself in to police after he was shown on Australian current affairs show Today Tonight on Tuesday, the news program said Wednesday.

On Tuesday, the program aired a harrowing eight-minute video clip that driver Ken Olsen recorded with his car's dashboard camera during what was to have been a leisurely weekend drive outside Brisbane. In the video, Olsen is rear-ended by a black Nissan pickup that then pulls up in front of him, forcing him to do the rear-ending. The pickup driver then follows Olsen, at times forcing him off the road and to drive the wrong way, according to the video. At one point, the pickup driver jumps from his car onto Olsen's windshield, pounding on it with both hands.

Olsen called an emergency operator and narrated the chase to her as it happened. After his windshield was smashed, nearly caving in on his head, he was able to drive his car to the nearest police station. His car was virtually inoperable.

Edward Sullivan, 21, from Carbrook is being questioned by police and is expected to appear in court Monday on charges of dangerous driving and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, Today Tonight reports.
