Security guard Darien Long, who shot to fame last month after a video in which he Tasered a confrontational woman at Atlanta's Metro Mall went viral, has been fired.

Long told Right This Minute he will no longer be employed at the end of the month.

This comes just days after the mall cop used his stun gun on a man inside the mall.

"It's time for you to leave," Long is heard saying in a video that he shot from a camera affixed to his chest. When the man refuses and becomes unruly, the security guard drops him with one stun-gun shot.

"I won't be working here," Long told Right This Minute. "My last day is March 31."

He said his dismissal is the result of a lot of things, including his sudden fame.

"It's... a lot of things...the publicity... It's not one thing, it's all things."

Long isn't surprised he was let go, but says he thinks that as soon as he stops working there drug dealers will once again descend on the mall.

Long shot to fame last month after Reddit fans created a fundraising site for the beleaguered guard.

Since the infamous incident in which he Tasered an aggressive woman, a number of videos featuring Long (aka "Kick Ass Mall Cop") confronting alleged drug dealers in the mall surfaced online. He broke up fights and sent perceived undesirables packing.

The fundraising site raised over $23,000 so he could get "better gear."

Long now says he will try and find another job. But he's not sure he'll stay in mall security.

"After these videos... it may make it tough for me to get another job in this field
