Deer crashes through bus windshield

A Pennsylvania bus driver and his lone passenger got a fright Tuesday night when a deer hitched a ride by crashing right through the windshield.

A security camera caught the poor animal's panic when it flew into the front cab of the bus and started flailing around, trying to find its footing and locate a way out. After several unsuccessful attempts to jump back through the windshield and the closed front doors, the animal goes leaping through the bus, which was empty at the time save for one woman in the back row, according to the local CBS station.

Driver John Porter was on his route in Johnstown when the white-tailed deer came flying in. A spokesman for CamTran told the Tribune-Democrat newspaper the driver stopped the bus immediately and, though it's not seen on the video, he eventually opened the door and the deer walked off.

Neither driver nor passenger were injured, but the deer's condition isn't known.
