A Kansas woman has been charged with aggravated arson after an attempt to kill a spider went up in smoke.

According to WTSP, Ginny M. Griffith used a cigarette lighter Friday to set fire to some towels in an attempt to kill a spider.

Five fire department units were called to her home.

No one was injured, but Griffith was charged because the other half of the duplex in which she lives was occupied.
